Pont maps of Scotland, ca. 1583-1614
E. Patricia Dennison was formerly the Director of the Centre for Scottish Urban
History at the Scottish History Department, Edinburgh University. She has written
and co-authored many books on Scottish towns, and was also historian
to the archaeological work being undertaken at the Holyrood parliament site
in Edinburgh's Canongate. She is the author of a chapter on Pont's portrayal
of towns in Scotland Survey'd, where further information on towns may be found.
