Pont maps of Scotland, ca. 1583-1614
Dr Andrew Grout worked for the British Geological Survey for 13 years,
many of which were spent mapping the geology of Scotland. Since 1996 he has
been a Research Fellow at the Department of Geography, the University of Edinburgh.
In 1998-99 he was a Research Assistant to Project Pont and drew up recommendations
for the electronic delivery of the Pont maps. He also worked on the 'Charting
the Nation' website for historic maps of Scotland, 1590-1740.
