Blaeu Atlas of Scotland, 1654
Ian C. Cunningham spent his career in the National Library of Scotland, as Assistant Keeper in the Department of Manuscripts and Keeper of the Department of Manuscripts, Maps and Music. He was the first chair of the Project Pont Steering Committee and editor of The Nation Survey'd: Essays on late sixteenth-century Scotland as depicted by Timothy Pont (2001). Among his other publications is 'Sir James Balfour's Manuscript Collection', in Transactions of the Edinburgh Bibliographical Society, vol.6, part 6. He has translated all of the Blaeu written texts displayed on this website.
