Ordnance Survey - Quarter Inch to the Mile Maps of Scotland
Administrative Areas, 1966-73
These maps at 1:250,000 scale were metricated from the previous quarter-inch to the mile maps, and show county, burgh and Parliamentary Constituency boundaries in Scotland in the later 1960s. The underlying base topography was based on OS 1:250,000, 5th edition mapping, with sheets numbered from north to south. This series showed parish and county boundaries in red, and Parliamentary boundaries in blue. Counties of the city, and large and small burghs were shaded to distinguish them. Successive editions of each sheet were issued with updates to Local Government and Parliamentary boundaries to specific dates. These maps are held at: Map.Area.C18(70/2).
