Click on the map to view in greater detail
This manuscript contains
two maps of slightly overlapping geographical areas. They are usually
referred to as Pont 9(1) and Pont 9(2). Pont 9(1) encompasses the coast
of the county of Banff from the River Spey in the west to the River Deveron
in the east. It extends inland as far as Rothymay (Milltown of
Rothiemay) and almost as far south as Turriff. Pont 9(2) is a small map
of an area of Buchan, south and east of the town of Banff. It shows the
catchment of the B.[urn] of Kinedward, an east bank tributory of
the River Deveron.
