Banff
This is a fairly simple outline sketch of Banff, with the name itself
written by Robert Gordon, who worked on the maps after Pont's death.
The 12th-century royal burgh of Banff, situated at the mouth of the
River Deveron, looking out to the Moray Firth, is shown here on the
far left-hand side of Pont's map of Buchan.
