Charles McKean is Professor of Scottish Architectural History at Dundee University. He was formerly Secretary and Treasurer of the Royal Incoporation of Architects in Scotland. He published The Scottish Thirties in 1987, and The Making of the Museum of Scotland in 2000. The Scottish Château: the Country House of the Scottish Renaissance, was published in August 2001.
