Dr Jeffrey C. Stone, Honorary Research Fellow and formerly Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography, University of Aberdeen, has been studying the manuscript and engraved maps of Pont over 30 years and has published a book and some twenty articles on the subject. He also has a research interest in the history of the cartography of Africa.
